Yellow Moss

This yellow moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In marshes, and On rotten logs.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely tough; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release hundred of spores.
