Silver

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 59 meters (193.6 feet) tall and lives "forever", with many known specimens being tens of thousands of years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, rough, dark brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is dark brown.

The branches are short, thin and wispy, with dozens of twigs covered with large amounts of giant, silver needles. The needles themselves are flexible.

In late summer it produces tiny, bright orange berries.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for making paper
It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
