Turquoise Fruit Tree

This average-sized fruit tree grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 40 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a very thick, crooked trunk covered in rough, brown-green bark, and inside, the flexible wood is light brown.

The small handful of branches are short stubs and are covered with copious amounts of huge, thick leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are either sky blue, or cream with turquoise dots.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of medium-sized, purple blossoms with long, narrow petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like alcohol.

In early summer it produces small, broad, flat fruit. The waxy aquamarine skin is thin and sour, and the soft cream flesh is sour and powdery. The white seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
