Silverclimb
Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 187 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has several wide, curved stems covered in wrinkled, silver bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are short and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with thick bunches of miniature, needle-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light grey on the edges and cream at the center, frail and rough.
In mid-spring it produces many giant, light green blossoms with long, narrow petals with a tube-like floral cup. They detach easily and have a weak scent that smells like warm cookies.
In midwinter spherical fruits ripen. The fuzzy crimson skin is delicate and inedible, and the slightly crunchy yellow flesh is salty and oily. The grey seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.
Several parts of the leaf succulent have medicinal properties.
