Rockvine
Climbing plant type: Vine (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)This short vine is a quick growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 11 feet (3.4 meters) and growing as high as 810 feet (246.9 meters). It prefers to grow on rock formations.
It takes 5 months for the light green stems to mature, by which point they have often fused together into ropes with a diameter of 1 cm (0.4 inches) and remain soft and fleshy.
The perforated, smooth leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are either green or indigo, with cream zig-zags, and have wavy edges.
During late spring, the vine produces large amounts of small olive flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
