Amber

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big caudiciform grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The perforated stem is yellow-green, and is covered in lots of rigid amber spines. The curved, grey trunk can grow to as much as 6 feet (1.8 meters) in diameter at the top. Its orange-yellow branches trail down to the ground and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The large amounts of wavy-edged, thin leaves are found in bright green, blood red and olive varieties. They are frail, and do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with grey petals that gradient shift to cream on the outer edge. The central disk is magenta grows at the top, reappearing once every 3 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight star. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like a damp log.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the sky blue flesh is smooth, and the amber sap is thin.

It is suitable for making paper
All parts of the moss are edible.
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
