Burgundy Petal Flower

Flower type: Biennial (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its burgundy stem is thick, and the tiny, brown leaves are circular with jagged edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Each stem splits 1 to 6 times; a single small flower grows at the end of each split. The flowers are 19 cm (7.5 inches) wide, with caramel petals that gradient shift to red on the outer edge. The central disk is caramel. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 37 curved petals. They are hardy.

It has a soft scent that smells like petrol, and it has very little pollen. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
