Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In moorlands, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely light; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald flame-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
