Purple Vine

This modest-sized vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 29 feet (8.8 meters) and growing as high as 85 feet (25.9 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 15 months for the brown stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 5 inches (13 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The very thin, soft leaves reach up to 6 inches (15 cm) in length. They are purple on the edges and olive at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of average blue flowers, and during the mid-autumn, after flowering, it produces excessive amounts of small seed pods.
