Blackfire

This modest-sized cactus grows up to 58 feet (17.7 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 pleated stems. Each stem is orange-yellow or black, and is covered in sharp spines. The tear-shaped body is emerald, and is covered in thousands of flexible cream spines.

It is very slow growing, taking 12 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are cream on the edges and silver at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a heart with 21 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a strong scent that smells like rotten meat.

The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the blue flesh is sticky, and the bright orange sap is thin.
