Slate

This average-sized cactus grows up to 62 feet (18.9 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 stiff, pointed stems. Each stem is brown, and is covered in lots of rigid slate spines. The round body is slate and orange-yellow, and is covered in sharp spines.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with dark grey petals on the lower layer and violet petals decorated with green dots on the inner layer. The central disk is purple, grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of 18 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like faeces.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the vivid red flesh is smooth, and the blue sap is thin.
