Silverbark

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by clinging to almost any surface.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for around 22 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has many sturdy, wonky stems covered in very thick, silky, silver and white bark, and the wood inside is burgundy.

The branches trail down towards the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of miniature, finger-like, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid cyan or purple, with bright blue patches, flexible and crispy.

It produces copious amounts of medium-sized, indigo flowers with spear shaped petals. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like sugar. In late autumn it forms medium-sizedlight brown, tough-shelled seeds.


It is suitable for use as a construction material
