Blackleaf

This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for around 96 years. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of narrow, straight stems covered in delicate, rough, gray bark, and the wood inside is black.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, wide, leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are black and hazel, flimsy and smooth.

In late spring it produces many balls of medium-sized, hazel flowers with V-shaped shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a mildly strong scent that smells like sweat.
