Aquamarine Speckletree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 39 meters (128.0 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 90 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a branched, straight trunk covered in hard, waxy, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is white with black speckles.
The small handful of branches are very long and slender and are covered with copious amounts of waxy, giant, very thin leaves with toothed edges. The leaves themselves are beige on the sides and black at the center.
In late summer it forms medium-sized, pastel green aril (seeds with fleshy covers).
The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
The sap is aquamarine.
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
