Waterstem Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This big tree grows up to 68 meters (223.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 520 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, crooked trunk covered in knobbly, brown-green bark, and inside, the light wood is brown.

The numerous branches are very short and slender and are covered with sparse amounts of crispy, tiny, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid cream or peach, with black splotches.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, grey, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.

The leaves are bitter, but very healthy.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
