Burgundy Tree

This short tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 164 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, curved trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, burgundy bark, and inside, the soft wood is pale yellow.

The tangled mess of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with copious amounts of rough, large, fan-like leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are solid brilliant yellow or pastel green, with peach streaks.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, silver seed pods.

The roots are shallow and widely spread, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
