Bluebell Bush

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This colossal shrub grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 184 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has many thick, twisting stems covered in fine, silky, black bark, and the wood inside is pale brown.

The branches trail down to the ground with thousands of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of huge, spear shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are brilliant blue on the edges and pastel green at the center, resistant and fuzzy.

In late summer it produces copious amounts of medium-sized, cream blossoms with needle-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They fall easily and have a weak scent that smells like meat.

In mid-autumn long, curved fruits ripen. The fuzzy green skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy cyan flesh is sweet and syrupy. The blood red seed is very large and sits at the end of the fruit.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
