Copper Cactus

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall. The very thin stem is red, and is covered in handfuls of flexible light brown spines. The wedge-shaped body is burgundy, and is covered in large amounts of fine, blood red, hair-like spines.

It is quick growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are violet on the underside and grey on the top grow at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 8 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has no scent.

The cactus's skin is thin, the green flesh is rubbery, and the copper sap is thin.

It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
