Red Spiral Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On trees, and In rainforests.
It is large, growing up to 10 inches (25 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is overwhelmingly flimsy.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It out-competes most other plants for nutrients and light.
