Blueberry Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This short leaf succulent grows up to 12 feet (3.7 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is gray, and is covered in thick sheets of rigid sky blue spines. The thick leaves are muted orange at the bottom and purple with sky blue splotches at the top. Copious amounts of them grow on bulbous, red branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are frail, and do not detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with florescent yellow petals that gradient shift to lilac on the outer edge. The central disk is violet, grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of many raised, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like fermented fruit.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the caramel flesh is smooth, and the cyan sap is thin.


It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
