Flamegrass

Grass type: Perennial (Stores water in its stem)

This small, orange grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The thick stalks grow in small clumps that are rigid.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, crimson spikelet.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
It comes in 93 varieties.
It can survive a very long time without water.
