Azurebell

This big shrub grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for around 32 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of stocky, twisting stems covered in smooth, dark green bark, and the wood inside is mahogany-coloured.

The branches are short, rigid and upright with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of huge, V-shaped, leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are black on the sides and azure at the center, durable and fuzzy.

In late spring it produces large amounts of small, purple flowers with sickle shaped petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are very delicate and have an intensely strong scent that smells like varnish.
