Crimson Tree

This huge tree grows up to 147 meters (482.3 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 61 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a narrow, crooked trunk covered in thick, wrinkled, brown-green bark, and inside, the very light wood is dark brown.

The small handful of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of leathery, tiny, long, tapering leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of red that gradient shifts to lime at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, brown berries.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
