Pinkwood

This average-sized tree grows up to 30 meters (98.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 264 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, wavy trunk covered in knobbly, brown and grey bark, and inside, the dense wood is brown.

The branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, tiny, pleated leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are found in pink and yellow varieties.

In early spring, it produces lots of small, dark brown blossoms with 9 triangular shaped petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like pineapple.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, gentle red berries.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.
