Spiraltree

This modest-sized tree grows up to 12 meters (39.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 141 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in paper-thin, silky, silver bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright, with dozens of twigs covered with large amounts of miniature, yellow-green needles. The needles themselves are strong.

In late summer it produces tiny, slate, shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
