Indigo
Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This small caudiciform grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The very thin stem is indigo, and is covered in lots of flexible vibrant orange spines. The wavy, lime trunk can grow to as much as 1 foot (30.5 cm) in diameter at the top. Its lime green branches trail down across the ground and start growing halfway up the stem.
The copious amounts of smooth-edged, circular leaves are generally white. They are strong and tough, but easily come away when pulled.
It is steady-growing, taking 7 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are orange on the edges and vibrant yellow at the center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a faint scent that smells like pot-purri.
The caudiciform's skin is thick, the copper flesh is smooth, and the turquoise sap is thin.
