Spiny Amberleaf

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 176 feet (53.6 meters) tall. The wide stem is moss green, and is covered in handfuls of flexible red spines. The stumpy leaves are amber on the sides and washed-out green at the center. Large amounts of them grow on narrow, yellow-green branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are resilient, and do not detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with alternating petals of beige and drab orange, with an orange central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 40 petals. It has a strong scent that smells like a man.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the white flesh is smooth, and the drab orange sap is thin.

It is suitable for making strong rope
