Copper Moss

This copper moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In moorlands.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely light; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release millions of spores.
