Lilac
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This enormous cactus grows up to 120 feet (36.6 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 2 slender, pointed stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in lots of flexible black spines. The spherical body is brown, and is covered in brittle cream spines.
It is very slow growing, taking 18 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of lilac grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight bowl. It has a delicate scent that smells like something putrid.
The cactus's skin is tough, the beige flesh is sticky, and the olive sap is thin.
