Silverbell

This colossal flower grows up to 12.6 feet (3.8 meters) tall. Its gray-green stems grow in bunches of 5 and are thin with a curved tip, and the tiny, silver leaves are needle-like with tattered edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

A single medium-sized flower sits at the end of each stem. The flowers are 134 cm (52.8 inches) wide, with brown petals and a blue central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. They fall easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like wet dog, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
