Indigo

This average-sized flower grows up to 1.5 feet (46 cm) tall. Its beige or indigo stem is very thick, and the large, gray-green leaves are very narrow and elongated with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from the base up to about halfway.

Two tiny flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 4 cm (1.6 inches) wide, with petals that are grey on the edges and cyan at the center. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. They are hardy.

It has a weak scent that smells like pineapple, and it has lots of pollen, but it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
