Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in medium-sized clumps In rainforests, On rotten logs, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is very flexible.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release millions of spores.
