Golden Thorny Cactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This average-sized cactus grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 3 thick stems. Each stem is yellow-green, and is covered in many rigid silver spines.
It is slow growing, taking 42 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with copper petals that gradient shift to gold on the outer edge. The central disk is light brown, grow at the top, reappearing once every 4 years. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. It has a faint scent that smells like mango.
The cactus's skin is nearly impenetrable, the drab orange flesh is slimy, and the beige sap is thin.
It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
