Silvervine

This modest-sized flower grows up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. Its silver stem is thin and straight with a curved tip, and the miniature, pink-red leaves are very thin with smooth edges. The leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 17 cm (6.7 inches) wide, with solid white petals decorated with subtle green dots and a brown central disk. The flower head is made up of handfuls of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight tube. They are very delicate.

It has a delicate scent that smells like leather, and it has copious amounts of pollen. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to a specific species.
