Golden Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This short fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 77 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in smooth, brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The branches are very long and thin and are covered with small bunches of tiny, asymmetrical leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in orange and gold varieties.

In early spring, it produces many clusters of giant, green blossoms with 2 circular shaped petals. They detach easily and have a fairly strong scent that smells like soap.

In mid-summer it produces , long, narrow fruit. The rubbery sky blue skin is stretchy and inedible, and the crunchy gold flesh is sweet and sticky. The silver seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It spreads easily and often blanket large areas.
It is extremely resistant to fire damage.
