Golden Glow?

This small fruit tree grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 18 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, twisting trunk covered in wrinkled, black bark, and inside, the soft wood is black.

The branches are short and thin and are covered with sparse amounts of tiny, very thin leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are yellow with sky blue tips.

In early spring, it produces a handful of large, yellow blossoms with perforated petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are hardy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like misty mornings.

In early summer it produces , long, narrow fruit. The smooth bronze skin is delicate and inedible, and the crunchy gold flesh is sweet and very juicy. The red seed is very large and is in the centre of the fruit.

The roots are long and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
