Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This average-sized shrub grows up to 4 feet (1.2 meters) tall and lives for around 40 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous wide, wavy stems covered in silky, gray bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are very long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, stiff, pointed, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are either turquoise, or azure with magenta lines, durable and leathery.

It produces hundreds of small, cream flowers with many layers of petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like coffee. In late spring it forms largebronze, spiky-shelled seeds.
