Sunshine

This short flower grows up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. Its beige stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the small, yellow-green leaves are long, narrow with toothed edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves alternate on the stem from about halfway up, up to the flower head.

Around 80 small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 3 cm (1.2 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of yellow. The flower head is made up of several petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. They fall easily.

It has a delicate scent that smells like sugar, and it has a modest amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.
