Burgundy Aquamarine Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 51 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a knobbly, straight trunk covered in hard, smooth, burgundy bark, and inside, the very hard wood is burgundy.

The branches are short and thin and are covered with handfuls of miniature, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of lime green that gradient shifts to purple at the top.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of giant, aquamarine blossoms with fan-like petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are hardy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like mint.

In late autumn it produces , oval fruit. The hairy blood red skin is tough and salty, and the slightly crunchy white flesh is sweet and very juicy. The gold seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It only grows on the most fertile lands.
