Bloodgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This average-sized, bright green and silver grass grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in extensive patches that are light and frail and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, blood red tail.

During the early autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
The sap causes itchiness of the skin
All of it is said to be part of one single, massive plant.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
