Bluebloom Vine

This giant vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 536 feet (163.4 meters) and growing as high as 643 feet (196.0 meters). It prefers to grow on specific trees.

It takes 10 years for the brown stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 4.3 feet (1.3 meters) and are smooth and slick.

The slender, pointed, smooth leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are generally intense blue, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces many small gentle purple flowers.
