Silverleaf Succulent
Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)This small leaf succulent grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The wispy stem is pink-red, and is covered in handfuls of rigid silver spines. The smooth-edged, thick leaves are white and slate. Small bunches of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are resistant, and are very difficult to pull away.
It is steady-growing, taking 4 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are generally brown; each flower tends to be a variation of this colour grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 5 petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like mint.
The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the grey flesh is soft, and the silver sap is thin.
It actively smothers and kills off other plants.
Both the grass and the grains are spicy and overwhelmingly toxic.
