Indigoleaf

This small tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 93 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, curved trunk covered in hard, ridged, dark gray bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black.

The excessive amount of branches are long, thin and wispy and are covered with very large amounts of smooth, large, thick leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are either blue or indigo, with lilac edges.

In late summer it forms tiny, white, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
