Spiral Moss

This orange moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In rainforests, and On trees.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is slightly resilient; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores.
