Lilac

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This large caudiciform grows up to 87 feet (26.5 meters) tall. The narrow stem is hazel and bright green, and is covered in brittle white spines. The very thick, lime trunk can grow to as much as 87 feet (26.5 meters) in diameter. Its moss green branches are very long, thin and wispy.

The ripped-edged, circular leaves are lilac and slate. They are frail, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is very slow growing, taking 36 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are either azure or cyan, with a yellow center, grow at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 33 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the pink flesh is smooth, and the green sap is thin.

The leaves and petals are often used to make tea.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
Their seeds have hallucinogenic properties.
