Crimson Spine Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This colossal leaf succulent grows up to 163 feet (49.7 meters) tall. The very thin stem is silver, and is covered in large amounts of rigid crimson spines. The smooth-edged, pleated leaves are moss green with subtle red tips. Copious amounts of them grow from the base in alternating pairs. The leaves are flexible, and detach easily.

It is steady-growing, taking 14 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with solid copper petals and a grey central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 12 petals in raised layers. It has no scent.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the grey flesh is rubbery, and the gold sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.

It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
