Rubbervine

This enormous vine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 514 feet (156.7 meters) and growing as high as 107 feet (32.6 meters).

It takes 19 years for the gray stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 3.4 feet (1.0 meters) and are smooth and rubbery.

The oval-shaped, waxy leaves reach up to 2.5 feet (76 cm) in length. They are cream on the sides and olive at the center, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces clusters of small subtle red flowers, and during the late summer, after flowering, it produces lots of small seed pods.
