Golden Glow Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 320 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, wonky trunk covered in thick, ridged, light gray bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale yellow.

The thin clumps of branches are short, thin and wispy and are covered with small amounts of crispy, large, 6 pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are hazel on the sides and gold at the center.

In late summer it forms large, bronze, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.

It is bio-luminescent.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
Ivy often grows along the trunk.
