Copperleaf

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This small shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 114 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous stocky, curved stems covered in thick, rough, light gray bark, and the wood inside is dark brown.

The branches are very short and thin with thousands of twigs that and are covered with handfuls of huge, finger-like, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are solid faded purple or copper, with crimson streaks, sturdy and clammy.

In late summer it produces a thick sheet of tiny, dull yellow flowers with long, narrow petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like soap.


It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
