Mahogany Sage
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 157 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has several very thick, straight stems covered in thin, silky, mahogany-coloured bark, and the wood inside is white.
The branches trail down to the ground that and are covered with very large amounts of tiny, very thick, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are bright yellow and dull orange, resilient and sticky.
It produces thousands of medium-sized, white flowers with 6 pointed petals. They detach easily and have a strong scent that smells like bleach. In early winter it forms medium-sizedlight grey berries.
The leaves are bland but very healthy.
It is suitable for making strong rope
It aggressively steals nutrients from other large plants (but not each other).
